Join us in this 14-Day adventure through COSTA RICA & NICARAGUA! This program has been designed to give a taste of the highlights, taking in nature and adventure, as well as local experiences.
Highlights will be the Cloud forest region of Monteverde rich in wildlife and flora/fauna and also a chance to visit the natural Island of Ometepe, trek on a volcano, and not forgetting a visit to the pretty colonial city of Granada – one of the oldest in the Americas. We will also get to visit the Pacific Coastline which is great for surfing. All this while staying in eco friendly accomodations.
Most of all, our groups are small and private.

Today, someone would meet you from your international flight at any time then transfer to your centrally located hotel. The transfer takes around 15-20 minutes depending on the time of day and level of traffic.
Overnight 3* San Jose
We start on foot covering the main squares and parks of downtown San Jose. During this time those who need to exchange money or buy simcards can stop en-route. At around 11.30am, we continue back to our hotel and take the private transport to Monteverde.
When we arrive to Monteverde we can offer a sunset tour by horse or a late afternoon coffee tour.

In the morning, we can hike around the Monteverde reserve. Which can take between 1.5-2 hours depending on the route you decide. After lunch you have the opportunity to do a Canopy tour or ziplining at an additional cost or take the afternoon to relax.

Today we head around 4 hours to the border, we take time to transit over the border on foot + paid our departure tax then continue to Nicaragua where it may take some time to process the visa. We then continue another 2 hours to Popoyo where we can relax

After breakfast, there is the option to wander the beach at your own leisure or take a surf class.

Some time after breakfast we transfer 2 hours by private van to San Jorge port to catch a 1 hour ferry across to Ometepe Island.
From there we meet our local transport that takes us across the Island to our hotel in around 30 minutes. On arrival, we can discuss the activities for the next day.

We leave at approximately 8:00 a.m. for either the long volcano trek or short Watrerfall trek.

The day is yours. There could be the opportunity to rent bikes, or go to one of the iconic beach spots on the Island. Costs of transport and meals, snacks is up to you

Transfer back across the Island, boat to San Jorge, transfer to Granada 1.5 hours.
Afternoon walking tour of Granada city with local guide.

Today, we leave early while still cool, and drive 45 minutes to Apoyo laguna, on the way we can visit the local artisanal villages where they make beautifal ceramics then continue to the laguna of Apoyo where you can have lunch, rent kayaks or swim

Your final day is free to spend as you wish, we suggest to tour the Masaya market for last minute souviniers then continue to visit the Masaya active volcano by night for Spectacular views
Before Sunset, we suggest a tour of the Islands near Granada by boat.

If you decide to finish the tour here, no problem. You can transfer to the airport in time for the 9am flight then fly to San Jose in 1 hour. This is an optional choice.
The main tour would continue back to the border in 2 hours then another 3.5/4 to La Fortuna.

Today, you can decide on some optional activities at an extra cost:
VISIT SLOTH PARK, RAFTING TUBING OR CANYONEERING IN WATERFALLS. EVENING HOT SPRINGS
We have a final night at thermal hot springs if preferred.

Today you will have some free time before transfering to the airport depending on your flight.
Transfer time is 3.5 hours + allow for your check in time prior to departure.
