These Terms will be applied fully and affect your use of this Website. By using this Website, you agreed to accept all terms and conditions written here. You must not use this Website if you disagree with any of these Website Standard Terms and Conditions.
The following booking conditions form the basis of your contract with South Andes Travel (“we”, “us” and “our”). Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read and have read these booking conditions and agree to them.
USE OF THE WEBSITE
As a condition of your use of this Website, you warrant that:
Flight tickets
We manage our flight reservations through an assigned Agent from Latam Airlines in one group code reservation in Economy Class. In a case of a participant’s cancelation, the issued ticket will have a new reservation code that can be have a name/date change with a penalty of $35 usd + $16 usd reinstated ticket + Tariff difference. All this can be done by the clients themselves through the LATAM website.
Payment and deposits
Please note that all of our tours are priced in US currency ($usd). Other currencies can be sent but you need to check the exchange rate applicable at the time of your booking with your specific bank. In order to make a payment for your trip on a tour, we use bank to bank transfers. Any service fees or bank charges at our end, are covered. If there are charges for sending at your end, the client must be responsible for and pay for them, please check the extra fee with your bank and ensure we receive the amount indicated in your booking form. Other payment services we use are PayPal, VisaLink, which we will send with a personalized price to pay.
When we receive your booking form signed with details and the deposit, we will send you an updated invoice and confirmation that we have received your deposit and your tour has been booked.
Cancellation Policy for Trips
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to info@southandestravel.com Note – It is recommendable to present proof or to justify your claim for cancellation in order to help us present the case for your reimbursement to our suppliers. Less than 14 days prior to start date, none of the payment is refundable as many suppliers consider this as a NO SHOW and we have lost the payment but some of the payment may be applicable (depending on our claim to each of the suppliers) towards a trip 1 year from start date. For example if you were to contract COVID less than 7 days before the trip start and not able to attend the trip. Also, any currency exchange rates that may change in the time since booking to the time of cancelation, will need to be taken into account. Finally, in the case you need to make a claim for money losses with your main insurance company, we would be happy to supply an official letter for your insurance company to help recover the money.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS
If you have any underlying medical or health conditions that could affect your trip please declare this to us at the time of booking and if there is anything that needs a doctors consultation like heart conditions or of any medical injuries that are advised against any exertive activities such as high-altitude trekking, we can send you a medical waiver – please ask him/her to sign that you are medically fit for travel. All medical matters are kept in complete confidentiality.
INSURANCE
Please have adequate insurance coverage for the trip and its duration. We do not offer insurance but can help advise and direct if requested. It is recommended that your insurance covers you for the following –
Medical attention
Repatriation
Flight Cancellations
Covid-19 related situations. (Note: In the case you give a positive Covid test before leaving Peru, by current Peruvian Health laws, you are obliged to quarantine in an authorized hotel for 14 days and permanently monitored by specialized staff, these costs are covered by the client and needs to be considered under their travel insurance.)
Any Covid tests costs are covered by the clients.
Trek relative elevations (if applicable).
FORCE MAJEURE AND SITUATIONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
In the case of weather conditions (e.g. landslides, high tide ocean, strong winds), natural disasters, political unrest (e.g. protests or strikes), we reserve the right to make any decisions that might include to cancel, postpone or adapt the trip for safety reasons which applies to both our participants and our employees. We would do this at our client’s discretion, and give alternative activities if those are not able to bereprogramed. Please sign below in agreement to the above policies and amounts on your booking form.
Note – your booking is confirmed at the time the deposit arrives to us.
